Bankruptcy can be painful, and you may not be the only one who is hurt by it. Before you file, you need to examine things closely so you can make the best decision possible for you and your family. In this article we will discuss some of the drawbacks of filing personal bankruptcy.
The most obvious negative consequence of declaring bankruptcy is the damage that it will do to your credit rating. Of course, this may not be the most pressing thought in your mind, because your finances may be so bad that your credit rating really doesn’t matter at the moment.
Still, you have to think about the difficulties you’ll face in getting credit during the next few years. When you are given a loan, you’ll probably have to pay higher interest rates for some time.
You have to be careful about accumulating debt all over again anyway, but you should still be aware of the damage to your credit.
One consequence you may not have thought of is that innocent creditors will be hurt by your decision. We’re not just talking about huge corporations but also any small businesses that have extended you credit recently. This may be especially hard to take for the small businesses, but you should still not make a decision solely on this factor. You need to do what is best for you and your family.
Another thing that people worry about is their reputations. Certainly, life after bankruptcy will hurt your reputation in some circles, especially if you live in a small community where everyone knows everything about you.
You may even have your name published on a bankruptcy list in some newspaper, and your bankruptcy filing will also be a matter of public record for those who are interested.
Nevertheless, this is not usually a big deal especially in larger communities. The public can attend your bankruptcy meeting, but few people are ever interested in this.

The season of spring is a gardener’s fantasty. Every gardener look forward to escaping in the garden and getting things well-kept. We also look over the garden with an eye to improving our little space, planting a new bed, or simply updating a plan with some fresh features. Whether you’re working from scratch or already have an established garden, here we have some garden design ideas which can be incorporated in either case.
Start by measuring your garden cautiously, including marking the border of your home, steps, existing trees and shrubs and any pathways. Mark the drip line around trees, as this will be a consideration in developing your garden design themes. Double check your measurements for accuracy. Now, plot your garden on graph paper, or use garden planning software.
Now that you have your garden visible in a virtual aerial view, it’s much easier to visualize the scale and proportions of the area you have to work. Scale is crucial, as in any composition. If you look at a painting, you’ll see that the available space is divided up in sections of varying and pleasing proportions. As you calculate your garden design ideas, keep this principle in mind.
Utilising your plot plan, roughly divide the available space until you have proportions that please your eye. Again, with the ‘aerial’ view, it’s much easier to attain good design proportions.
Next, you’ll want to look at the exposures for the different areas. Let’s say one of your garden design ideas is to put a garden bench in, where you can sit and relax with a book and a tall glass of lemonade during the hot summer afternoons. Obviously, you’ll want to install the bench in an area that’s shady in summer. Placing that bench under a large deciduous tree serves you in summer, as well as on sunny winter days.
Now you’ll want to give some thought to your colour scheme. Gently color in your garden plot with the predominate colors of your existing garden. Blues and purples tend to recede, creating a sense of distance, while brighter colors, such as red, orange and yellow make the space seem closer to the viewer. A street side planting of marigolds or some tall red gladiolas, combined with a summer planting of white and sky blue Morning Glorys vining around the porch posts will make the distance between the street and your porch look longer. Blue and purple flowers, in a shady area, will create a feeling of coolness and welcome respite in summer. As you work out your garden design ideas, remember that color is a powerful agent in garden design.
Next, take a look at those favorite plants. Maybe you’ve got a bed of tulips or daffodils that have naturalized, making a attractive exhibit each spring. You need to determine which plants are the ‘keepers’ and those which might be replaced. You may have some flowers which are very high maintenance, susceptible to molds, mildews and an array of pests. Look through your garden books and catalogs and find another plant or hybrid that’s a little more sturdy and that will be an asset to the garden.
Make certain to include some variety, but then again, don’t go overboard. Some, well-placed trees, pathways, with a mix of heights in your flowers, including both perennials and annuals and perhaps that garden bench can add up to a fine looking garden. Think seasonally. Plant a bed of crocus under a tree this fall, for a bright and cheerful early spring display. Other garden design ideas to throw into the hat include hanging baskets, garden ornaments, a sundial surrounded by kitchen herbs and statuary. Once you get started, brainstorming garden design ideas on paper or on your computer, those ideas will flow quicker than you can put them down. Your final plan will surely be spectacular.

The insurance market is opaque to most clients. There are many insurance offerers. As a client you can hardly get the overview. Nevertheless one wants to find the right solution. Nowadays it is a good choice to use a rate comparison web page as Beste private Rentenversicherung, when you are looking for a particular assurance. There you can retrieve an affordable insurance offer from a great number of assurance suppliers.
Some important German assurances - for instance Preisvergleich Rechtsschutzversicherung - which are mentioned in this context are:
The private liability assurance: Even a marginal mistake such as a lapse in giving way when bicycling, or a careless discarded cigarette may cause huge damages. Especially when people come to tort, the claims of the victim may result in the financial ruin of the wrongdoer. There is no limitation to the top. Therefore the indemnity assurance is a necessity for everyone. With a casualty insurance you and your family have protection from the typical liability risks of everyday life in the private sector.
The building insurance: For a lot of owners the own house is the largest expense in their life. Hazards such as fire, water or storm can cause immense damages or even a total loss. Therefore a building assurance is essential for every owner of a house. The personal belongings are not insured. This should be done by a separate householders assurance. The elements of fire assurance and supply water insurance should always be included. Natural hazards might be a great risk for your property. So everybody should search a building insurance which is covering these special risks. Assurance protection against storm damage should definitely be considered because of the rise of heavy storms during the past years in Germany.
The occupational invalidity assurance: Consumer advisers have repeatedly pointed out that the vocational invalidity insurance adjacent to the casualty assurance is the most important assurance ever. The loss of manpower is an existential risk. Because of being no longer able to work means to earn nothing. Physical hardship often is the result. The state barely helps in such a case - the statutory pension insurance pays only a minimal disability pension for all people born up from the year 1961. The reason for the predominant number of occupational inability cases is disease. Less common cause than illness is a previous accident. About every 4th worker and every 5th employee must terminate their jobs for health reasons before the time and must go into early retirement. When the claims for sickness benefits paid by the medical insurance and for unemployment benefits are exhausted, you are confronted with a large income gap when not having an occupational inability assurance.
The German Riester-Pension: The so called Riester-Insurance is a government-funded private pension you can seize to close your personal pension gap. It is both safe and attractive: During the active working life, you pay contributions into a private annuity contract, a bank or savings fund, additionally you get growing state allowances and tax privileges as a bonus. Later you will receive monthly benefits a lifetime - in the form of a retirement pay or a payment plan. Each employed professional, who is not willing to rely on the national pension solely, should consider a Riester-Assurance contract. Also officials, judges and soldiers belong to the circle of beneficiaries of public allowance for Riester-Pension agreements.
The dog owner insurance: Without a dog owner assurance every dog owner carries a very high risk of liability when his four-legged friend once causes a damage. When the dog runs over the street and causes a traffic accident, one can be held liable for all damages of persons and vehicles. On the German insurance market there are many dog assurance suppliers. As a dog owner it is quite hard to find the right vendor and contract for your specific needs. The research for the best assurance can be done online. There are commendable web pages which offer gratis comparisons of German dog owner insurances.
The private sickness insurance: Private health assurance can be taken by business owners - regardless of their revenues. As an employee you may switch to the private medical assurance, if your yearly gross salary lies 3 years in a row over the assurance limit of 48,150 Euros (equivalent to 4012.50 Euros a month, status of 2008). Also officials, judges and members of parliament are usually privately insured. The German private medical insurance usually offers superior benefits than the national health insurance. Many assurance companies give the option of making customization to the tariff of the active contract.
The above mentioned insurances and several more can be found at comparison sites on the Internet, such as: Reiseversicherung Preisvergleich. This comparison website is independent from a single assurance company and provides a good overview of the market.

Many people look towards the HGV driving industry for a career given the flexible working hours and that on average the annual salary is in excess of the national average.
Before you can take your HGV driving test you will have needed to pass the HGV theory test beforehand. This theory test is similar in a way to the normal driving theory test in that you will have both a multiple choice section and a hazard perception section. However, there are 100 questions in the multiple choice part of the theory test and in the hazard perception section you will need to score 67 to obtain a pass. As a result of this, the test is somewhat harder than the normal driving theory test. Both the multiple choice and hazard perception sections need to be passed at the same time e.g. at the same sitting. You cannot pass one part of the test and re-take the other part at a later date.
Once you have passed the HGV theory test you can then apply for the HGV practical driving test and only on passing that will you receive your HGV licence. However, before taking your practical test you will need to undertake HGV training for an HGV vehicle. There are many companies around that will provide this training for a suitable fee. You may may find a company that is prepared to sponsor you i.e. pay for your training, although you will likely be tied into a contract for a term to remain with that company once you have passed your HGV driving test.

Recently the value of our home has gone down so much that the option to purchase a newer home is no longer on the table. This home that we are currently in was only suppose to be a starter home. We have one child who is off to school, so the desire to purchase something larger is no longer an issue. We simply want a fresh look.
While vacationing in Palm Springs our eyes set on visions of water features. They all showered us with a cool, relaxing, refreshing sense of calm.
This idea of bringing in a local pond builder appealed to me for the therapeutic value but, my husband seemed to see the elimination of yard work. Brilliant! Now that water feature design has our attention and our wheels are spinning we notice the presence of water features everywhere!
A small scale one in our doctors lobby, another at the front of our favorite cinema , one infront of the high rise down town, another at our daughters college and finally , closer to home , we see that a local resident has attempted to place an artful fountain with palm trees and lighting right out front where we can admire as we pass by. Its apparent that this is going to cost us some money. Our project is not one that we can do our self but we found a great source for Online Pond Supplies.
The idea that we have is far too elaborate and requires skilled engineers , plummers, electricians and even botanist. Though this is not an inexpensive venture this is one that we will enjoy for the rest of our lives. Adding an elaborate water feature to our home will add value and so much appeal should we decide to sell in the future.

First of all, it will make you look and feel like a million dollars. These pieces have unique and intricate designs that will definitely make you sparkle. In fact, handcrafted pieces of jewellery are so chic, even Hollywood stars like Angelina Jolie and Demi Moore prefer them. When you walk down the aisle, expect people to gasp. They may be elaborate or they may be simple but one thing is fro certain. They will keep everyone’s eyes on you.
Secondly, you should consider handmade jewellery because these pieces are meticulously done. You can find pieces that date back to centuries ago. Forged by artisans and jewelers of the past, these gorgeous pieces have the level of artistry and workmanship that can no longer be found in the mass-produced pieces of jewellery today. On the best and happiest day of your life - your wedding - you want your body to be adorned by only the best jewellery. Handcrafted bridal jewellery will give you that extra touch of sophistication. It will add extra flair to an already momentous event in your life.
Thirdly and perhaps, most importantly, handmade wedding jewellery will reflect your tastes and personality. You will be able to select unique designs that will truly mirror your personality. Skilled hands devoted hours and hours into making that piece especially for you. More importantly, it’s about knowing that no other bride will have that jewellery. Increase your income by participating in legitimate paid surveys!
Most ways to make money on the Internet require some special skills and training and some technical skills in order to get started. Many require a substantial investment in websites, domain names and specialized contractors. There are exceptions, like participating in paid marketing research and taking surveys for cash.
The reason that this is possible is because large companies absolutely must know what consumers, especially the consumers that buy THEIR products or services, are thinking. Most such companies never come into direct contact with the people that ultimately buy what they are selling.
And yet they have to know what consumers are thinking in order to improve their products, develop new products or measure which of their advertising campaigns is being seen!
There is real money in this. Just one market research company, Greenfield Online, paid out over $2 million in 2007 and closer to $4 million in 2008! Payment is by checks in the mail or deposits directly in your Paypal account. It’s fast and easy. All you have to do is give your honest opinion…
So you could start your own get paid to fill out survey business.
That is why you have the opportunity to make money from surveys that pay!
For more information about how you could start receiving your checks in the mail from participating in paid market research surveys, just click on any of the links above…

There are multiple reasons why ERP fails as new systems are deployed into companies. Outside of the two primary factors, poor sponsorship and or leadership engagement and lack of project manager experience, there are six elements of why ERP fails that should be considered as companies consider ERP transformation:
1.Lack of User Involvement – Without user involvement nobody in the business feels committed the ERP system, and can even be hostile towards its utilization within daily management. Users need to be involved from the start, and continuously throughout the development. This requires time and effort which sometimes is not high on an organizations priority.
2.Poor Requirements Definition – Too often, ERP projects have high level and vague requirements. This has led to cases where IT developers, having no input from the users, build what they believe is needed, without having any real knowledge of the business. Inevitably when the system is delivered business users say it does not do what they need it to support the business need.
3.No Change Control – Business change is happening at a faster rate than ever before. So it is not realistic to expect no change in requirements while an ERP system is being built. Uncontrolled changes will play havoc with an ERP system under development and will cause many project failures.
4.Scope Creep – Scope Creep is the insidious growth in the scale of an ERP system during the life of a project. Scope outlines the holistic measure of the project’s implementation; therefore, the slightest change in the effort’s scope can have severe ramifications between module dependencies being implemented properly.
5.Unrealistic Time Scales – Long timescales for a project have led to ERP systems being delivered for products and services no longer in use. The business model has surpassed the system’s ability to support the business need. Time scales should be short so that the project team can deliver the appropriate ERP solution to end-users.
6.Lack of Sub-Project and Deliverable Integration – Misunderstanding deliverable dependencies and the architecture of an ERP system’s expected support features is critical. Without clear relationships mapped between modules, project failure is certain.
As is outlined above there are six fundamental elements to consider why ERP fails. Taking these six factors into account can separate the difference between successfully implementing a system and failing to meet customer requirements.

There’s a growing number of people realising that being motivated and self employed can be generally safer in an economic downturn than working as an employee for somebody else! Its a known fact that many successful businesses are started in an economic downturn. The important part of business start-up is realising what sort of businesses do ok during recessions….
Clearly for any business to succeed there has to be demand and also a willingness by the business person to satisfy that demand to customer expectations. This is even more important in economic downturns, get it right and the business continues to perform, get it wrong and the business will quickly collapse! Being able to quickly modify a service offering and change with the times is something which small businesses and entrepreneurs generally do with ease. This dynamic allows competitive advantage over larger more capital intensive businesses. As long as finances can be controlled and ensure the cash flow of sales to be smooth - the small business is perfectly placed to take advantage of economic downturns.
The only other facet a small business needs to be great during an economic downturn is mentor support. Relationships with other dynamic business people, either via mentoring, co-operative working, or supply chain synergy, are key to ensuring small businesses make the most of the inherant opportunities in this part of the economic cycle. Support from fellow business people who really know what they are doing can multiply dramatically the impact of the small business. From sharing experience and insight, to sharing technology and even opening new doors! Mentor type business relationships are worth their weight in gold.
The entrepreneur Chris Cooke who originally set up the vacation rentals site www.rentinnerja.com quickly realised the value of business mentors. Not only seeking out business suppliers, but actively searching for synergy partners which could help his business in so many more ways than a traditional service supplier - Chris benefitted from unparalled performance gains by having specialist mentors advising him in how to take his self catering holiday rentals business forward.
Realising the value of synergy mentoring - Chris adopted the same approach by quadroupling his business during 2008/9 and launching a unique franchise opportunity under the Rentin-Group where Chris brings his original mentors along with himself in allowing other motivated self starters be coached in successful niche market vacation rentals in their own new businesses. “The benefits to the new business are tangible, and the quality of the coaching and business insight to this exciting industry is second to none!” says Chris who has seen rapid take up of his unique holiday rental franchises with the first release of niche areas seeing fast growth and success.
